Lesson 1 : The External Features of Animals

1. A Bird
    Birds have wings.
    They also have beaks.
    Their bodies are covered with feathers.




2. A Fish
       All fish have tails.
       They also have fins.
       Their bodies are covered with scales.

3. A Butterfly
        Butterflies have wings.
        They have six legs.



4.  An Elephant

     Elephants have tusks.
     They have trunks. They also have tail.

Some animals have special external features Here are some animals with their special external features.

1. Animals with shell 
    The shell is hard and strong. It is a form of protection from their  
    predators.

2. Animals with antlers
Animals have a variety of uses for horns and antlers, including defending themselves from predators and fighting members of their own species for territory

3. Animals with scales
Scales are one solution that help animals adapt to their environment. Scales can be used to protect an animal's skin from harsh conditions such as hot, desert climates. Modidified scales can also help animals to regulate their temperature.

Exercise 2 should have some picture.

Pupils should have learnt the name of animals and write it down without picture guidance. But thank you for your comments.
